Year of the Rabbit

To celebrate Lunar New Year, I built this small orange tree after being inspired by the LEGO 3-in-1 set that includes the rabbit you see here, and stumbling upon a leaf technique with 1x2 round plates that could be easily duplicated.

• The small red envelopes are printed tiles pulled from LEGO set 80108, specifically those that spoke to a money concept, to be appropriate for the purposes of envelopes around this time of year.

• Different shades of oranges add to the visual contrast of the build.

• The tile work is meant to mimic a Chinese vase, with a rabbit motif tiled on two sides.

• My Chinese zodiac sign would be a Fire Tiger!
